The beautiful seaside city of Santa Maria di leuca Salento in Puglia

For English friends try to write a few lines to explain the wonderful land of Santa Maria di Leuca.

Santa Maria di Leuca belongs largely to the City of Castrignano del Capo and in small part to the town of Gagliano del Capo. Its coastline is mainly rocky, with costs falling a high peak overlooking the sea. At one time we used to say that in Santa Maria di Leuca was "Li Mare Spunnatu" to say that deep sea incuteva a sense of fear in the population.

Throughout the tract bordering the town of Santa Maria di Leuca, then for the entire waterfront, the coast, mainly low encloses a bay where he formed a small sandy beach where we find the ancient bagnarole.

Going to West (dir. Gallipoli) before arriving at Marina di Felloniche, the new promenade overlooking think views on one of the most striking and beautiful parts of Salento gaze opens in a vast horizon where the sea becomes different colors and tones . Here you can see closely the complex of the three doors, made even more impressive if you are going on a day of Mistral when the waves are high. There are small paths to reach the sea and the area is served by large parking areas. The marina Felloniche a minute Leuca, is part of the Municipality of Castrignano del Capo, and lies in a beautiful bay that encloses a small sandy beach. The coast is still predominantly rocky up to San Gregorio, 5 minutes from Santa Maria di Leuca, where the high cost leaves little room for the small and beautiful coves.

The eastern side of Santa Maria di Leuca is characterized by a very high cost and very evocative. Especially interesting location Ciolo with his bridge and his haul that counts numerossissimi holidaymakers.

Scuasate my English
